Post-Mortem: The Last Case
> "The rain washes the streets, but it can’t clean the blood from the asphalt. I was the city’s best detective. Now, my final client is the man staring back at me from the morgue: Me."
Overview
Post-Mortem: The Last Case is a cold, realistic supernatural investigation experience. Eschewing traditional horror tropes for a clean, "Noir" aesthetic, this game puts you in the shoes of a murdered
detective who refuses to cross over until the truth is unearthed.
Core Features: The Ghostly Detective
* Tactical Possession: You cannot touch the world, but you can inhabit it. Possess environmental objects—from fuse boxes to security cameras—to manipulate the scene and force the living to reveal their
secrets.
* Memory Flashbacks: High-fidelity "Evidence Close-ups" allow you to examine realistic documents and items. Touching key objects triggers sharp, clean visual fragments of your final moments.
* Dynamic Suspicion System: The living can feel your presence. Navigate through NPCs’ vision cones and alertness states. If their suspicion turns to terror, your spiritual energy may dissipate before the
case is closed.
* Branching Moral Narrative: Every choice carries weight. Will you seek Justice by exposing the corruption, or embrace Vengeance and drag the guilty into the shadows with you?
Atmosphere & Art Style
* Clean Realism: The visual direction focuses on high-contrast lighting, sharp lines, and a minimalist UI. Every frame is designed to look like a piece of noir photography—clinical, cold, and immersive.
* Real-time Audio Synthesis: Powered by a custom Web Audio engine, the ambient rain, heavy footsteps, and spectral drones are synthesized in real-time, creating a soundscape that reacts dynamically to your
investigation.
